Greylan James


Greylan James is a teenage Singer, Songwriter, Musician from East Tennessee. He has been performing since the age of 5 and began playing guitar at the age of 11. Along with his singing & songwriting; he also plays several instruments including the guitar, dobro, bass, mandolin & drums.

Greylan James a member of the Country Music Association, Nashville Songwriters Association & BMI and has received many accolades such as the TCMA & NACMAI 2008 & 2009 "Male Vocalist, Entertainer, Instrumentalist & Songwriter of the Year", along with many other awards over the years. He has had many local musicians & teachers who continue to help him grow musically. Greylan has played over 500 events, benefits, festivals and concerts across the US. He was most recently was awarded the "Best Young Country Artist" and "Best Teen Live Performance Video Recording" for "First Train to Caroline", through the Indie Music Channel. On Greylan's 16th birthday, he performed "First Train to Caroline" on Chicago's "Windy City Live," additional guests that show included with Channing Tatum!

In between touring and shows, Greylan is in the studio in Nashville, working on a EP of originals, which is expected to be out fall 2012. His first single "First Train to Caroline" was recently released (June 19th, 2012) and can be found on iTunes, Amazon.com, etc.

Greylan James's style of playing is similar to John Mayer, Brad Paisley, Brent Mason, and Danny Gatton. His musical influences include Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings,Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, John Mayer, Eagles & James Burton, along with many other genres of music.
